Storyline of Addicted to Fame (2012)
The hilarious, outrageous, and ultimately tragic true story of one filmmaker's seduction into moral blindness in the glare of the media spotlight. What begins innocently is a film that seems nothing more than a "Behind-the-Scenes" tell-all, but Filmmaker David Giancola has larger issues in mind and the film quickly takes a dark turn. Giancola uses his tale as a modern parable about the dangers of celebrity and it's debilitating effect upon our society. Back in 2005, he wanted to break out by making a "Movie that mocked B-Movies". He thought he could manipulate the media by casting Anna Nicole Smith. In the end the media manipulated him instead as his star and one of his producers died in a media feeding frenzy. The film bombed, but the story was one of the most reported events of 2007, behind only coverage of the Iraq war. The truth is always stranger and more unbelievable than fiction... An intimate, affecting portrait of the life and work of ground-breaking performance artist and music pioneer Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV) and his wife and collaborator, Lady Jaye, centered around the daring sexual transformations the pair underwent for their 'Pandrogyne' project.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi is a 2011 Japanese documentary film directed by David Gelb. The film follows Jiro Ono, an 85 year-old sushi master and owner of Michelin 3-Star restaurant Sukiyabashi Jiro, on his continuing quest to perfect the art of sushi. The film also profiles Jiro's two sons, both of whom are also sushi chefs. The younger son, Takashi, having no opportunity to succeed his father, left to open a restaurant in Roppongi Hills, essentially identical to the one Jiro built. The elder son, Yoshikazu, still works for Jiro and is faced with the prospect of one day taking over the flagship restaurant.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi debuted in the US in 2011 at the Provincetown International Film Festival and was an official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival in the same year. The documentary was made available on Netflix streaming on August 28, 2012.

Storyline of The Central Park Five (2012)

In 1989, five black and Latino teenagers from Harlem were arrested and later convicted of raping a white woman in New York City's Central Park. They spent between 6 and 13 years in prison before a serial rapist confessed that he alone had committed the crime, leading to their convictions being overturned. Set against a backdrop of a decaying city beset by violence and racial tension, THE CENTRAL PARK FIVE tells the story of that horrific crime, the rush to judgment by the police, a media clamoring for sensational stories and an outraged public, and the five lives upended by this miscarriage of justice.

Last Days Here is an 2011 American documentary film featuring Bobby Liebling, lead singer of the American heavy metal band Pentagram. Last Days Here follows Bobby Liebling, lead singer of Pentagram, an Alexandria, Virginia-based heavy metal group founded in 1971 and active sporadically throughout the following four decades. At the film's outset, Liebling is in his 50s, living in his parents' basement, and addicted to drugs. After Pentagram's music is rediscovered by the heavy metal underground scene, Liebling begins to recover from his lifestyle. His friend and manager Sean "Pellet" Pelletier attempts to help Liebling overcome his drug addiction and escape his old life.

The Flat is a 2011 Israeli feature documentary film written and directed by Arnon Goldfinger.It was theatrically released in Israel in September 2011. It plays continuously for thirteen months and has received good reviews. Time Out Tel Aviv chose to place the film at the top of its recommended films for 49 weeks under the headline: “not to be missed” and chose it as one of the 25 most important art works from around the world for 2011. The Flat was theatrically released in Germany in June 2012. The German version of the film features the voice of renowned German actor Axel Milberg taking on the role of narrator Arnon Goldfinger. 'The Flat will be theatrically released in USA in October 2012. The film was selected to the World Documentary Film Competition at the Tribeca Film Festival, 2012 in were it got the Best Editing award. It was the opening film at Dok Munich in 2012.

The film opens with a situation that is familiar to many: The director and members of his family are gathered in the apartment of his grandmother, a short while after her death, in order to clear out the contents. His grandmother lived in the same apartment for 70 years; ever since she and her husband left Nazi Germany in the 1930s and immigrated to Palestine. It is not long, however, before Goldfinger finds various items in his grandmother's house that reveal an astonishing chapter in the family's history - a chapter that had been kept under wraps for decades. The film opens on a black screen, then, as the blinds open in a small window to let in shafts of light, one realizes that this is the interior of the flat which has been closed in darkness since the grandmother’s death. Goldfinger opens windows, closets, doors and archives, literally and figuratively, letting in the light.

Brooklyn Castle is a documentary film about Intermediate School 318 in Brooklyn, an inner-city public school where an after-school chess program has built the most winning junior high school chess team in the country[1] and the first middle school team to win the United States Chess Federation's national high school championship. The film follows five of the school’s chess team members for one year, and documents their challenges and triumphs both on and off the chessboard.

Remake rights have been acquired by Sony and Scott Rudin. Rudin's other works include co-producing the acclaimed film Searching for Bobby Fischer.
Brooklyn Castle was initially released during the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival on March 11, 2012. Over the next several months it was shown during at least eleven other film festivals winning a total of three festival awards to date. The film will be re-released to U.S. theaters on October 19, 2012.

It's the first record to feature the recording of Bob Marley performing Jamming at the One Love Peace Concert, where Bob Marley joined hands of Michael Manley and Edward Seaga, members of the People's National Party and the Jamaican Labour Party respectively.

Chimpanzee is a 2012 nature documentary film about a young chimpanzee named Oscar who finds himself alone in the African forests until he is adopted by another chimpanzee who takes him in and raises him like his own child.The U.S. release of the film is narrated by Tim Allen.
The film was released by Disneynature and directed by Alastair Fothergill and Mark Linfield. It is the sixth film from the Disneynature label, following Earth, The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos, Oceans, African Cats and Pollen, and was released in theaters on April 20, 2012 just before Earth Day, April 22.

Plot of Chimpanzee (2012)

Oscar is the nickname given by Tim Allen (the narrator) to a young chimpanzee in his toddler years. He is part of a close-knit tribe of Chimpanzees. They occupy a forest territory which is rich in native fruits, nuts, and figs, among other things. The chimps hunt small tree monkey, and they also eat ants. Oscar is tended by his mother, nicknamed Isha, and from her he begins learning many things about how to survive in the jungle. In the chaos of an attempted raid by a rival gang of chimpanzees, led by 'Scar', Isha is injured and separated from the group and her son. As told by Tim Allen, Isha is most probably the victim of a nocturnal leopard.
Unaware of his mother's death, Oscar spends much of his time looking for her. He finds trouble in recalling the things she taught him and begins to lose weight quickly. He attempts to find another mother to take care of him; however, none of the females can afford him, having young of their own to raise. As time goes on, Oscar is rejected by nearly every chimp in the group, until the only one left to ask is the tough-skinned leader, Freddy. However, as Oscar follows the leader and imitates him, it is soon revealed that the unlikely duo may work out. The two gradually warm up to each other more and more, until one day Freddy lets Oscar ride on his back, something normally only mother chimps do. In this way, Freddy "adopts" Oscar.

As the rivals prepare for attack, Freddy is forced to take time away from Oscar to organize the other members of the group, and this leaves the young chimp confused. Scar leads a vicious attack, although because of the unity of Freddy's group, they have a rousing success, and Scar and the enemy chimps retreat into the jungle. A few months later, it is revealed that the bond between Freddy and Oscar has continued to grow, and that life in the group is slowly returning to normal.
