October Baby (2011) Best Drama Movie Download Free Online

October Baby is a 2012 American Christian-themed dramatic film directed by Andrew and Jon Erwin and starring Rachel Hendrix in her film debut. It is the story of a young woman named Hannah, who learns that she was almost aborted as a baby in the womb. She then embarks upon a road trip to understand the circumstances of her birth.

Plot of October Baby (2011)

Hannah (Rachel Hendrix) is a 19-year-old college freshman who suffers from epilepsy, asthma and depression. On the verge of her theatrical debut in a university play, she suddenly collapses on stage. After a variety of tests, Hannah meets with her parents (John Schneider and Jennifer Price) and a doctor from the hospital where her father works. The doctor quotes passages from Hannah's journal that reveal that she has been feeling lost and unwanted. In the heated exchange that ensues, she learns not only that she is adopted, but that her biological mother had tried to abort her.

Hannah experiences a range of emotions from confusion, to anger, to desperation and seeks out her best friend, Jason (Jason Burkey), for advice. After sorting through her feelings and her options with Jason, she decides to find her birth mother. Jason invites her to go on a trip for spring break with a group of his friends who are going to New Orleans, Louisiana. Hannah's father, Jacob Lawson forbids her to go, because of her illness. He says he trusts her to make the right decision, regardless of his opinion. Hannah decides to go because she says she wants," answers to all these questions about who she is. " She sets out on a journey that leads her to her birthplace, Mobile, Alabama. While staying at a hotel overnight, Jason's girlfriend Alanna( Colleen Trusler) says some hurtful things to Hannah, who eventually leaves when told that Alanna and Jason didn't want her to come on the trip. Jason decides to help her find the hospital where she was born. Upon arriving, they find it is been vacant for years and is locked up. Hannah pries the back door open and her and Jason are arrested. The kind sheriff, however, allows them to go when she tells him her reason for trying to get in. He gives her the name and address of the nurse who signed her birth certificate. She locates the nurse (Jasmine Guy) who assisted in the abortion, and they have an emotional encounter while the nurse describes the circumstances behind not only her birth, but that of her twin brother, whom she knew nothing about. She leaves the nurse's apartment knowing not only the new (changed) name of her birth mother but where she works.

When she finally meets her biological mother (Shari Rigby), she is overwhelmed with feelings of rejection, anger and hatred by her mother's rejection. Just then, her father arrives to take her home, when he finds she lied to him about being with others beside Jason and also that she had checked in with her doctor while traveling. Also, from Jason's girlfriend, he discovers their arrest for breaking and entering. He also tells Jason he is not permitted to visit, call, or interact with Hannah, because he had lied about what they were doing. Jason returns to the hotel where the rest of the college friends are staying. He breaks up with his girlfriend, Alanna, after she apologizes for her cruel actions, and returns home. He then calls Dr. Lawson( Hannah's father) and says he's sorry for lying and will no longer be seeing Hannah.

Hannah's birth parents also go through their own pain and suffering, deciding to tell Hannah the details of their choice to adopt both her and her brother - her brother dying just months later. Her mother( Jennifer Price) also relates to her the fact that they'd been pregnant with twins and lost them at 24 weeks. They'd then seen an adoption request for Hannah and her brother at a pregnancy crisis center where Grace( Jennifer Price) had volunteered.

Hannah wanders aimlessly until she sees a Catholic church and goes in. She seeks consolation from a priest (Rodney Clark). He says to her: "Because we have been forgiven by God, we should forgive each other. In Jesus, you are forgiven, and, because you are forgiven, you have the power to forgive, to choose to forgive. Let it go. Hatred is a burden you no longer need to carry. Only in forgiveness can you be free, Hannah—forgiveness that is well beyond your grasp, or mine, a forgiveness that you can’t find on a trip or even in this cathedral. But, if the Son shall set you free, you will be free indeed."× Hannah experiences an epiphany and finds she is able to forgive her biological mother and forget about the botched abortion. Jason takes Hannah back to the theater where she'd collapsed and says they should finish the play together. Hannah begins to realize he wants to be much more than a friend and starts to fall in love. The movie ends with them leaving to go to their college dorms. Hannah hugs both her parents and then runs back into her father's arms [[John Schneider ]and thanks him for wanting her, when no one else did. She is last seen smiling proudly at him and holding Jason's hand with a overwhelming grateful look at her dad.

The Deep Blue Sea (2011), a Romantic Drama Full Download Free

The Deep Blue Sea is a British drama film directed by Terence Davies and starring Rachel Weisz, Tom Hiddleston and Simon Russell Beale. It is an adaptation of the 1952 Terence Rattigan play The Deep Blue Sea about the wife of a Judge who engages in an affair with a former RAF pilot. This film version is funded by the UK Film Council and Film4, produced by Sean O'Connor and Kate Ogborn. Filming began in late 2010 and it was released in the UK in 2011, the year of Terence Rattigan's centenary. It was released in the United States in 2012 by distributor Music Box Films

Plot of The Deep Blue Sea (2011)

Set 'around 1950', The Deep Blue Sea tells the story of Hester Collyer, the younger wife of High Court judge Sir William Collyer, who has embarked on a passionate affair with Freddie Page, a handsome young former RAF pilot troubled by his memories of the Second World War. Freddie throws Hester's life in turmoil, as their erotic relationship leaves her emotionally stranded and physically isolated. For Freddie, that tumultuous mix of fear and excitement that was once in his life seems to be no longer missing.

The majority of the film takes place during one day in Hester's flat, a day on which she has decided to commit suicide. Her attempt fails and as she recovers, the story of her affair and her married life is played out in a mosaic of short and sporadic flashbacks. We soon discover the constraints of Hester's comfortable marriage, which is affectionate but without sexual passion.
As Hester's affair is discovered she leaves her life of comparative luxury and moves into a small dingy London flat with Freddie. Hester's new lover has awakened her sexuality, but the reckless, thrill-seeking Freddie can never give her the love and stability that her husband gave her. Yet to return to a life without passion would be unbearable. The film takes its title from her dilemma of being caught between the Devil and the deep blue sea.

Dramatic Thrilling Action Movie Seeking Justice (2011) Free download

Seeking Justice, formerly known as The Hungry Rabbit Jumps, and known on Sky Anytime as Justice, is a 2011 action film starring Nicolas Cage, January Jones and Guy Pearce. The film was directed by Roger Donaldson and produced by Tobey Maguire, Ram Bergman and James D. Stern. Filming took place in New Orleans, Louisiana. The first trailer was released in September 2011.

Plot of Seeking Justice (2011)

In New Orleans, Will Gerard (Nicolas Cage) is a humble English teacher at Rampart High School. Will's best friend Jimmy (Harold Perrineau) also works at the school. Will's wife Laura (January Jones) is a musician who is in a local orchestra. One night, after a performance, Laura is beaten and brutally raped by a stranger named Hodge (Alex Van).

At the hospital, while Will is waiting for news about Laura’s condition, Jimmy tells a distraught Will that he's confident that the rapist will be found. Will is approached by a man who calls himself Simon (Guy Pearce). Simon tells Will that he represents an organization that deals with people that the justice system has failed to deal with. Simon describes his group as "a few citizens seeking justice", and he tells Will that Hodge has raped other women before, and was paroled three weeks prior to his attack on Laura.

Simon proposes an intriguing offer; in exchange for a favor from Will, Simon will arrange to have a complete stranger make Hodge pay for Laura's rape, in order to save Will and Laura the undue suffering of a drawn-out trial, because a drawn-out trial would make Laura suffer even more than she already has by repeatedly forcing her to relive the rape, and be traumatized by defense attorneys. Distraught and grief-stricken, Will consents to the deal. After Hodge is killed, a picture of Hodge's body, and the medallion that Hodge took from Laura during the rape, are sent to Will as proof that Hodge has been killed. The organization's code phrase is "the hungry rabbit jumps."

Six months later, Simon returns, and he asks Will to follow a woman and her two children to the zoo and look out for a man, and if Will sees the man, to call a number attached to a picture immediately. Will agrees to follow the lady and her two children, hoping to, in that way, fulfill his debt. After Will does that, Simon continues to call Will, asking him to continue to follow that man, telling Will that the man is a sex offender. At first, Will declines, but seeing that he has no choice as Simon promised to exact revenge if he doesn't obey, Will agrees, and Simon assigns Will to kill the man on a pedestrian walkway that's under a high overpass, by "accidentally" bumping him off the walkway to his death, which would make it look like suicide.
Will goes to the walkway, but instead of killing the man, Will decides to see if the man has any answers about Simon. The man, who is already paranoid for some reason, becomes suspicious that Will is trying to kill him, so he throws his bicycle at Will, and the bicycle falls into the traffic below. As they struggle, the man falls off the walkway as Will tries to save him. The man lands, and is hit by a truck. Will, fearing for his life, goes home, where Detective Rudeski (Joe Chrest) and Detective Green (Marcus Lyle Brown) arrest him and accuse him of murdering the man, who the detectives say is named Alan Marsh. At the station, Will can't get Green and Rudeski to believe anything he says.

Green and Rudeski's boss, Lieutenant Durgan (Xander Berkeley), wants to talk to Will alone. Durgan asks Will to play a game, where Will must complete sentences. After a few rounds, Durgan asks, "The hungry white rabbit..." to which Will responds "jumps," signifying his connection to Simon's organization. Durgan lets Will free, telling him that he has 24 hours to get out of the city before Simon and his two men Scar (Irone Singleton) and Cancer (Wayne Pére) come looking for him. Will runs, but he's looking for answers. He goes to a memorial for Alan, and learns that Alan is not a sex offender – he's actually an award-winning investigative reporter for the New Orleans Post, and he was investigating the vigilante organization. Now Will knows why Simon wanted Alan dead. After Will leaves, Simon, Scar, and Cancer find Will, and chase him. Will escapes from Simon and Cancer, but Scar chases Will out onto a busy street, where Scar is killed by a SUV that hits him and drags him a short distance.

Will looks for Alan's work at a storage facility that Alan uses. Will finds a DVD describing some of the people in the group, along with their missions. When Will tells Laura what's going on, she tells Will that if he was attacked, she would've done the same thing Will did, which means she would've accepted Simon's deal, had he approached her in that kind of situation. Will tells Laura his whereabouts, and he advises her to stay away from the cops, and anyone else who's asking questions.

Will learns that Jimmy is part of the organization, and then learns that Simon's real name is Eugene Cook. Jimmy joined the organization years ago, after his brother was murdered, and the cops were unable to find the killer. Will calls Cook, and sends him a copy of the DVD, outraged at its implications. Cook agrees to a trade where Will would receive security camera footage proving his innocence in Alan's death as he was acting out of self-defense, in exchange for the DVD. Will agrees, and they agree to meet at the Louisiana Superdome, during a monster truck show.
Upon meeting at the dome, Cook lets Will know that Laura has been kidnapped as an extra incentive to make Will give up the DVD. Jimmy, Cancer, and a man called Sideburns (Dikran Tulaine) are holding Laura. They go to the abandoned mall next door, where Laura is being held hostage. The mall has been abandoned since Hurricane Katrina. Will gives Cook the DVD, but Cook reneges on the deal, saying that Will and Laura will both be killed so there will be no threats to the organization.

Cook says that what the organization does is too important to be threatened. Cook orders Will and Laura to be shot. Just as Cancer is about to pull the trigger on Laura, Jimmy fatally shoots Cancer, and Will forces Sideburns down an inactive escalator, and then through the glass at the bottom of the escalator. Sideburns is killed when a chunk of the glass becomes impaled in his neck.

Cook is angry at Jimmy, and Jimmy says that Cook promised not to hurt Will and Laura. Jimmy says that they didn't get into the organization to kill innocent people. Cook and Jimmy exchange gunfire, until Cook kills Jimmy with two shots to the chest. Laura is running, with a gun in her hand. Will climbs back up the escalator to try to find Laura. Cook finds Laura, and throws her into a glass display case, causing her to drop the gun. Will starts beating Cook up. Cook turns the tables on Will, and they both fall off of a walkway and onto another escalator, rolling down to the bottom of it. Cook stands up, and aims his gun at Will. Suddenly, Laura, who has grabbed the gun that Cook forced her to drop, and she shoots Cook six times, killing Cook.

Happy to be alive, Will and Laura walk back up the escalator. Durgan arrives, asking who killed Cook. Will responds that it was him, but Durgan says that the way he sees it, the dead guys killed each other. There was no one else there.

With both DVDs in hand, Will clears his name, and he decides to follow up on Alan's work by giving the DVD to Gibbs (Mike Pniewski), a high-ranking reporter at the New Orleans Post. Thanking him, Gibbs says "The hungry white rabbit jumps, eh?" That indicates to a surprised Will that Gibbs is in the organization, as Will turns and stares at him.

The Kid with a Bike (2011) Download Drama Movie free For Dreamy Enjoyment

The Kid with a Bike (French: Le Gamin au vélo) is a 2011 drama film written and directed by the Belgian brothers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, starring Cécile de France and Thomas Doret. Set in Seraing, it tells the story of a 12-year-old boy who turns to a woman for comfort after his father has abandoned him.

The film was produced through companies in Belgium, France and Italy. While it does not deviate from the naturalistic style of the Dardenne brothers' earlier works, a brighter aesthetic than usual was employed, and the screenplay had a structure inspired by fairytales. Unusually for a film by the directors, it also uses music. It premiered at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival and won the festival's Grand Prix.

Plot of The Kid with a Bike (2011)

The story begins with Cyril, a 12-year-old boy in foster care, searching for his father and lost bike. Cyril escapes the foster home to try to find his father at his old apartment. When the caretakers find him, Cyril flees to a doctor’s office nearby, where he grabs onto a woman in the waiting room. Trying to alleviate the situation, the caretakers take Cyril to the empty apartment, confirming that his father has really abandoned him.

The next morning, the woman from the doctor's office, Samantha, shows up with Cyril’s bike. She says she bought it from someone in the projects, but Cyril thinks it was stolen from his dad. He likes Samantha though, and asks if she would take him in on weekends. Later, through an old personal ad, Cyril discovers that his father actually sold his bike. With Samantha, Cyril is able to finally track down his father. However, his father isn't happy to be found and tells his son never to come back.
Cyril, heartbroken by his father's rejection, turns to Samantha for comfort. But despite Samantha's care, Cyril is soon taken under the wing of a local gang leader known as "The Dealer." At The Dealer’s prompting, Cyril robs a newsstand owner and his son with a baseball bat. The Dealer, fearing Cyril had been identified, threatens him to keep quiet and forces him to keep the money. Cyril tries giving it to his father only to be chased away. Dejected, Cyril returns to Samantha and finally accepts her care for him. The robbery is settled through mediation, where Cyril apologizes personally to the owner, who accepts, but his son does not and, in a chance encounter, tries to get his revenge. In the ensuing chase, Cyril climbs a tree and falls when struck by a rock the son throws. While he lies unconscious, the owner and son discuss what lies to tell the police. While they're talking, Cyril comes to and walks away, having apparently decided to move on with his life.

The film is set in 1917 in a post-Qing Dynasty era, at Liu Village on the border of Yunnan, China.

Liu Jinxi (Donnie Yen) and his wife Yu (Tang Wei) are an ordinary couple with two sons, Fangzheng (Zheng Wei) and Xiaotian (Li Jiamin) , living together in Liu Village. One day two bandits enter the village and attempt to rob the general store. Liu Jinxi happens to be in the shop and he fights with the robbers when they turn violent towards the shopkeeper and his family. He kills them during the fight. During an autopsy, detective Xu Baijiu (Takeshi Kaneshiro) , who is sent to investigate the case, discovers that one of the dead bandits was Yan Dongsheng (Yu Kang) , who is among the government's ten most wanted fugitives. The local magistrate is pleased, and Liu Jinxi is regarded as a hero by his fellow villagers.

However Xu becomes suspicious because he does not believe that Yan Dongsheng, a fighter, could be easily killed by Liu, who appears to be a mere paper worker. Based on traces of evidence in the shop and Liu and other witnesses' recollections of the fight, in addition to his extensive knowledge on physiology, Xu is able to deduce that Liu is in fact a highly skilled martial artist, as well as the actual events during the fight after noting signs of brain hemorrhaging due to an injury on Yan Dongsheng's Vagus nerve. From subsequent observation, investigation and tests, and information gathered by his partner, Xu learns of Liu's true identity - Tang Long, the second-in-command of the 72 Demons, a group of vicious and bloodthirsty warriors of Tangut descent, who brutally murdered a butcher's family in Jingzhou ten years ago. Xu immediately returns to the county office to obtain an arrest warrant for Tang Long.
The magistrate delays issuing the warrant, citing lack of evidence while actually soliciting for a bribe from Xu. Xu eventually obtains the bribe money from his estranged wife, who blames him for causing her father's suicide. After issuing the warrant, the magistrate informs the Master (Jimmy Wang) of the 72 Demons on Tang Long's whereabouts, hoping to receive a reward. The Master is offended and reveals that Tang is actually his son, and he kills the magistrate by severing his Vagus nerve.

The Master sends his henchmen to Liu Village to capture Tang and burn down the place. While Xu and the constables are on their way there, two henchmen reach the village and kill a villager to force Tang to acknowledge his identity. Tang can no longer control himself and he fights and kills one of the two assailants and runs away, the other assailant who is the Master's wife (Kara Hui) chases Tang and fights with him in the buffalo shed and she gets crushed by the buffaloes in the stampede and falls down in the river. Tangs tries to save her by holding her hand but she falls down to her death. The remaining villagers retreat to a fortress to hide from the 72 Demons while Tang and Xu stay behind. In the meantime Xu devises a plan, utilising his knowledge of physiology, for Tang to fake his death so the 72 Demons will no longer harass him. When the Demons arrive they lament over Tang's death but Xu knows that Tang cannot remain in his "death" state for too long so when time is up he revives Tang. Tang severs his left arm in front of the Demons, announcing that he has formally broken ties with them, but they also tell him that the Master is waiting for him at his house.

When Tang reaches home he sees that the Master has taken his family hostage. After a tense encounter, the Master declares that he will let Tang go but he must take Xiaotian's blood as a trade. Tang is enraged and he attacks the Master with a broadsword but to no avail, since the Master uses qigong to protect himself from the blade. Xu infiltrates the house through a hatch and he weakens the Master's defense during the fight by piercing his heel with an acupuncture needle from underneath the floor. The Master is angered and incapacitates Xu. Tang continues fighting but is quickly overpowered by the Master. Just as the Master prepares to kill Tang, Xu notices the needle still stuck in his heel and takes him by surprise, planting another needle in the Master's neck. The Master is unfazed and mortally wounds Xu by slamming him hard to the ground. The top needle acts as a lightning rod, and in combination with the bottom needle acting as an earthing wire, the Master is charred by a lightning strike, killing him. Xu, with his dying breath, declares the case closed. The ending scene of the film shows a now one-armed Tang Long leading a normal life with his family.

Killing Them Softly also features Richard Jenkins , James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, and Vincent Curatola. Max Casella, Trevor Long, Slaine and Sam Shepard also make appearances

Killing Them Softly is a 2012 American crime film directed by Andrew Dominik and starring Brad Pitt, based on the 1974 novel Cogan's Trade by George V. Higgins. On May 22, 2012, the film premiered in competition for the Palme d'Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, receiving positive early reviews.

Plot of Killing Them Softly (2012)

Johnny Amato (Vincent Curatola) wants to hire a previous crime associate, Frankie (Scoot McNairy), and a second person for 'a job.' Upon meeting, Frankie selects Russell (Ben Mendelsohn), an unkempt junkie but also his only close friend. Russell and Johnny immediately don't get along, and it is with a little convincing before Frankie accepts. Amato explains the job would involve robbing an (illegal) poker game held by Markie Trattman (Ray Liotta). Johnny explains that years ago, Markie set up an inside job to have his own poker game robbed. Markie then was interrogated by mafia enforcer Dillon (Sam Shepard), but manages to convince them he had nothing to do with the robbery. Poker games, meanwhile, are shut down for a period. Once time passes, the games start back up, and during a poker game, Markie drunkenly admits to having set the whole thing up. Instead of anger, the mafia group decides to 'give him a pass' and there is no retaliation. Johnny believes that Markie will be held responsible for this second robbery and after his execution, it will be forgotten about.

Frankie and Russell meet for the robbery, and once inside Markie tries to convince them to put their guns down and walk out the front door. However, it manages to go off with no problem. They decide to split up for the time being.

Mafia hitman, Jackie Cogan (Brad Pitt) meets with Driver (Richard Jenkins), a mouthpiece for a group of mafia members. Jackie is replacing Dillon, the usual go-to-guy hiree, who has received a mortal stab wound. Jackie immediately recognizes that Markie was set up, but that, regardless, he must die so that consumer confidence can be revived, and business can continue. Driver tells him that the people he represents only want him "roughed up." Jackie says that he will go ahead, but sooner or later Markie has to die and he would rather just get it over with than let him suffer.

Markie is ambushed outside his home and told to get into the car. The two mafia members then drive him to a secluded area and beat him nearly to death. During this time, Russell goes down to Florida and brags about knocking over a place for almost 100k. One man listening is Kenny Gill, a connection of Jackie Cogan and Dillon. Kenny tells the story to Jackie who now immediately knows the men at fault. He meets with Driver who orders the execution of Russell, Frankie, and Johnny. Jackie now claims, however, that he will need to get a second mafia hitman as he knows Johnny too closely, meaning that on seeing Jackie, Johnny will be spooked and the prospect of a clean hit will be ruined. Jackie again tells Driver that Markie Trattman must be killed so business can continue. Driver is very much against killing Markie as he is clearly innocent, but "the word on the street is it's Trattman". Jackie says people will believe what they want, and Trattman is what they believe. Driver finally gives the okay to hit Markie, who is killed at a stoplight by Jackie.

Jackie meets with Mickey (James Gandolfini) at a local bar to discuss the remaining three hits. Mickey says he is currently banned from New York on a gun charge (for shotguns he claimed he actually bought legally and hadn't used). It is for this reason that Mickey decides to stay in his hotel room, where it becomes apparent to Jackie that Mickey has 'changed' into a sloppy drunk, and tells Mickey if he doesn't meet with him on time that night, he will call the police. Mickey ignores the threats. (Meanwhile and throughout the story, President Bush is depicted on television and radio broadcasts, 'explaining' the ongoing economic collapse and rationalizing the need to bail-out the major offenders in order to restore business and consumer confidence.)

Jackie meanwhile confronts Frankie at a local tavern and intimidates him into revealing Russell and Johnny's whereabouts in exchange for his life. Frankie accepts, but Russell is busted on drug possession and that hit is called off. They proceed to Johnny's whereabouts and he is executed by Jackie. They then drive to a parking lot where Jackie drops Frankie off at his car, then shoots him.

In the closing scene, Jackie has a payment dispute with Driver ($10,000 per person regularly) but Jackie says Mickey's $15,000 charge for the job he didn't do should be his. Driver disputes this by saying Dillon had always accepted $10,000 and he himself agreed to it. Jackie tells him Dillon died earlier that morning. Jackie then diverts his attention to President Obama on the television, rants, and concludes by saying, "America's not a country. It's a business. Now fucking pay me."

Plot of Silent House (2011)

A young woman named Sarah is staying at a dilapidated Victorian house in the countryside with her father and her uncle, helping them fix it up. Due to petty fighting between Sarah's uncle and her father, her uncle decides to take a break from working and drives into town to get tools. While her father works upstairs, there is a knock on the door and Sarah answers it, meeting a young woman named Sophia who claims to be one of Sarah's childhood friends, though Sarah does not remember her. The two plan to meet again later.

Soon after, Sarah hears strange noises upstairs and immediately notifies her father. He is not worried, but goes to check, finding nothing. Sarah calms down, but soon hears the sound of her father falling down the stairs. Panicked, she tries to leave the house but all exits are locked or boarded up, and she hides from an unknown perpetrator who attempts to grab hold of her under a table. Sarah searches for her father and finds him unconscious with a head wound. She runs to the basement in search of the cellar door leading outside, and finds a bed and other human necessities, evidence that someone else has been living there, possibly squatters. She sees a figure shining a light in the basement to find her but she escapes out the cellar door.

Outside, she meets her uncle, who has returned, and sees a young girl on the side of the road who disappears before her eyes. Her uncle insists on driving them back to the house to rescue her father, despite Sarah's plea that they should both go get help. They discover her father's body to be missing, and find a generator lamp running on the third floor of the house in a pool room. While searching the pool room, the generator kicks off; the only source of light available is a polaroid camera's flash.

Through a series of intermittent camera flashes, Sarah sees the young girl and an unidentified man in the room. The power returns to reveal that her uncle is missing. She hides under the pool table while two men take pictures, presumably pedophilic in nature, of an unseen girl on the top of the table. Sarah then sees one of the men dragging her uncle's body toward the staircase. She attempts unsuccessfully to shoot one of the men with her uncle's gun.
Sarah returns to her room to hide, and begins to exhibit signs of paranoia and psychosis. She has hallucinations that depict traumatic childhood events, including a blood stain appearing on her bed, a young girl in the bathtub with beer bottles and bloody water, and a toilet spewing blood. These vivid hallucinations frighten Sarah, and she runs downstairs.

In the foyer, she is confronted by Sophia, and finds her now conscious father wrapped in plastic, sitting up in the living room. Sophia shows Sarah a box containing pedophilic pictures of Sarah as a little girl, implying that her father sexually abused and photographed her. Sarah is then shown dragging her unconscious uncle into the living room. Sophia vanishes, and Sarah's father convinces her to untie him, at which point he slaps her and whips her with his belt. Her uncle then regains consciousness and tries to stop her father, who mocks his brother's pleas. As his back is turned, Sarah bludgeons his head with a sledgehammer. Her uncle begs for mercy and tells her he should have stopped the rape and abuse that went on at the hands of her father. Sarah leaves him and walks outside silently, and the film cuts to black.

A Thousand Words is a 2012 comedy-drama film starring Eddie Murphy and directed by Brian Robbins. It was released in theaters on March 9, 2012, four years after it was filmed in 2008. It received universally negative reviews and failed at the box office.

Plot of A Thousand Words (I) (2012)

Jack McCall (Eddie Murphy) is a literary agent who uses his 'gift of gab' to get various book deals, and he isn’t afraid to stretch the truth to get them. While he is trying to get a book deal from a New Age self-help guru named Dr. Sinja (Cliff Curtis), the guru sees through his deceit and agrees to the deal, only to later deliver a five-page book. That night, a Bodhi tree magically appears in his backyard, with a thousand leaves. Dr. Sinja goes to Jack's house and they both discover that for every word that Jack says, a leaf will fall off of the tree. When the tree runs out of leaves, the tree will die, along with Jack. In time, he finds that even written words count towards his limit; plus anything that happens to the tree will also affect Jack. When Jack tries to cut it down with an axe, an axe wound appears on him. When squirrels climb the tree, it tickles him. When a gardener tries to poison it with DDT, Jack gets high on the fumes.

With Jack forced to pick and choose his words, communicating with others becomes difficult and full of misunderstandings. These misunderstandings cost him two book deals, his job, and his wife Caroline (Kerry Washington). She walks out on him when she thinks his sudden silence is due to him not loving her anymore. When he tries to explain the tree to her, she doesn’t believe him. Only Jack’s assistant Aaron (Clark Duke) realizes he is telling the truth, and goes to Jack’s house to keep track of how many leaves remain.

With his life falling apart and the tree running out of leaves, Jack confronts Dr. Sinja and asks how to end the curse. The guru tells him to make peace in all of his relationships. With just one branch of leaves left, Jack tries to reconcile with Caroline, but she remains hesitant. He visits his mother (Ruby Dee), who lives in an assisted-living center and has dementia. She tells Jack, who she thinks is Jack’s late father Raymond, that she wishes Jack would stop being angry at his father for walking out on them when he was a kid. Jack, realizing that this is the relationship that needs the most mending, goes to visit his father’s grave. Jack expends the last three leaves of the tree with the words, "I forgive you". With no leaves remaining, Jack suffers a heart attack and appears to have died. Jack’s cellphone rings, and it is Aaron. Jack, who is still alive, answers his phone. Aaron tells him that the tree’s leaves have magically reappeared and Jack can now talk freely again.

Jack and Caroline get back together, with Jack buying the family-friendly house Caroline asked for earlier, and the tree is in their front yard. He doesn’t get his job back (Aaron was promoted to Jack’s old position), but he writes a book about his experience, called A Thousand Words, and gets Aaron to make the deal (unfortunately for Aaron, his promotion caused him to be like Jack was, thus he gets his own smaller office tree.)

He learns that his wife, Nikki (Brea Bee), has moved away and his father, Pat Sr., is out of work and resorting to bookmaking to earn money to start a restaurant. Pat is determined to get his life back on track and reconcile with Nikki, who filed a restraining order against him after the violent episode that sent him away.

At dinner with his friend Ronnie, he meets Ronnie's sister-in-law Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), a recent widow. Pat and Tiffany develop an odd friendship through their shared neuroses, and he sees an opportunity to communicate with Nikki through her. He convinces Tiffany to give Nikki a letter he has written, which she agrees to do only if he will be her partner in an upcoming dance competition. He agrees, and the two begin a rigorous practice regimen over the following weeks. Pat believes the competition will be a good way to show Nikki he has changed and become a better man. Tiffany gives Pat a written reply from Nikki.

Things go well for Pat until his father asks him to attend an Eagles game he has bet a large amount of money on, as a "good-luck charm". Pat skips practice with Tiffany to attend the game, but is dragged into a fight and hauled away by police. The Eagles lose the game and Pat Sr. is furious. Tiffany arrives, berates Pat and argues in detail that the way she "reads the signs" Pat Sr. was luckier when Pat was practicing with her. Pat Sr. makes a parlay with his gambling friend that if the Eagles win their game against Dallas, and if Pat and Tiffany score at least a 5 out of 10 in their dance competition, he will win back the money he lost on the first bet. Pat is reluctant to participate in the dance contest under those conditions, and rereads Nikki's letter for reassurance.

Pat, Tiffany, and everyone else arrive at the competition on the night of the football game. Tiffany is horrified to discover that Nikki is in the audience. Upset that Pat may win Nikki back and that she will lose him, Tiffany goes to the bar and has two vodkas. A frantic Pat spots her and manages to coax her onto the dance floor, and they perform their routine. As they dance, the Eagles win their game, and at the conclusion of their set they score exactly 5.

Amid cheers from his family and confused looks from the crowd, Pat approaches Nikki and speaks quietly into her ear. Tiffany storms off disconsolately. Pat leaves Nikki behind after only a short conversation, intent on finding Tiffany. He chases after her and tells her he knows she forged Nikki's letter. He confesses he has loved her from the moment he met her but taken a long time to realize it, and they kiss. They become a couple and Pat Sr. opens a restaurant with the money he has won.
